==== Without the Framework ====
Simply launch the ArmA 3 editor and save a new mission on the terrain of your choice.
This will create a folder, in your [[arma_editing:missions:intro#important_directories|in-progress mission folder,]] named whatever you saved it as but with an extension based on the terrain.
==== With the Framework ====
Create a copy of the `cbb_framework_a3.VR folder` and place it in your [[arma_editing:missions:intro#important_directories|in-progress mission folder.]]
Rename it to your desired mission name, and change the extension to one associated with the [[arma_editing:missions:terrain_codes|terrain]] of your choice.

In-progress mission folders are located at: 
  \User\Username\My Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\Username\missions\
  
PBO files of missions that you have played online are located at:
  \User\Username\AppData\Local\Arma 3\MPMissionsCache\
  
Framework [[compositions]] can be found [[https://code.clearbackblast.com/clear-backblast/members/cbb_compositions_a3|here]]. They must be unzipped and placed in:
